Project description
Following a significant flood in the existing boiler house and plant room, JT Wilding was appointed by the school to address the issue. Our task included providing and installing new LPG boilers, relocated to the ground floor, along with new hot water cylinders, pumps, and controls, while reconfiguring the pipework accordingly.
The work was carried out during the summer school holiday in 2025, which allowed us the time needed for significant strip-out work before the installation of the two new Remeha boilers, three unvented cylinders, and the major changes to the interconnecting pipework. To ensure the longevity and efficiency of the new boilers, they are separated from the original heating system by a plate heat exchanger, protecting them from any potential effects of the existing system.
