The River House is a Grade 11* listed Elizabethan house dating back to 1490 which had not been unoccupied for around 30 years. There are several unique features to the house including full-size Elizabethan wall paintings and an exceptional Tudor red brick porch with a large front door. The house has also featured in an episode of Lovejoy and the recent Magpie Murders tv series.
Project description
Due to the property being unoccupied for a considerable length of time a major refurbishment was required of the heating and hot & cold-water systems. The project comprised utilising an old outbuilding and converting it into a new external plant room. The plantroom was fitted with a new Grant oil fired condensing boiler, Mixergy smart unvented cylinder, Stuart Turner accumulator and a Monarch water softener. An Atlantis bunded plastic oil tank was also installed to supply the new Grant boiler.
